Mayweather/Pacquiao in Jeopardy (Update)

(UPDATE #3)
But wait…there’s more…Manny Pacquiao has filed a defamation suit against Mayweather and his camp for comments made about Pacquiao using performance-enhancing-drugs. This is getting a bit out of hand. I wish these 2 camps would be quiet, train and then let all their anger out in the ring. Just sign the fight and do the testing that Nevada State Athletic Commission asks for and let the chips fall wherever. Just freakin’ fight.

(UPDATE #2)
The Mayweather camp has backed off is demand for the USADA to do the pre and post fight testing. It was believed that the fight was all but called off because of the dispute of drug testing. Expect more craziness before this fight is finally signed. And let’s hope it is finally signed.

(UPDATE) The bout between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather looks to be off due to a dispute over fighter testing.  Pacquiao promoter Bob Arum is claiming that Mayweather didn’t want the fight anyway.  This is a big mistake on both sides of the negotiating table.  Find a way to make this fight

The long awaited and the fight that the world wants to see, Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Manny Pacquiao, seems to be in peril of not happening according to Golden Boy Promotions. The reason behind the possibility of the fight not happening, is that Pacquiao is refusing to do the Olympic style drug testing that the Mayweather camp is demanding for the fight to take place.

Pacquiao’s promoters, Top Rank, contacted Golden Boy Promotions about the issue. The issue is that Pacquiao claims that he has problems taking blood and doesn’t want to have a needle poked into his arm so close to the fight. Pacquiao is willing to have blood drawn at the kick-off press conference and after the fight.

Olympic style drug testing involves random sampling of the athlete’s blood and urine prior to and after the fight. The USADA procedure includes both blood and urine sampling so that all banned substances, some of which do not show up in urine alone, are tested for thoroughly.

these are the only two Boxers that i know. if they fight… and one wins.. what else is left of boxing? MMA Killed it. its not a bad thing though. I see it being more of a striking game where wrestling and bjj and stuff are all grappling games. only thing is that you dont really hear too much about grappling other than in MMA like UFC and Strikeforce. So, maybe Boxing is going to end up going that route and you just wont hear too much about it anymore.
