Tim Kennedy vs Trevor Prangley Set for Strikeforce: LA. Lashley out.
Strikeforce: Los Angeles going through some changes.
Strikeforce announced another bout for the Strikeforce: Los Angeles. Just announced is a solid middleweight bout between former Army Green Beret Tim Kennedy and longtime MMA vet Trevor Prangley. The bout between Kennedy and Prangley will be featured on the main card at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles during the E3 Expo. If you are not familiar with the E3 Expo, E3 is the annual video gaming conference. Remember, The EA Sports MMA game will feature Strikeforce fighters prominently in the soon to be released game.
Other news coming out of Strikeforce in regard to the Los Angeles event, former WWE Star and undefeated heavyweight Bobby Lashley is out of his bout with Ron Sparks. Lashley suffered a knee injury during training and had to pull out of the bout. No word on if there will be a replacement for Lashley to face Sparks.
Bouts already on the card are a 195lbs catchweight bout between Ruthless Robbie Lawler and Renato Babalu Sobral, which will be the main event of the evening. And Marius Whitemare Zaromskis will face Evangelista Cyborg Santos in a welterweight contenders match.
Strikeforce: Los Angeles will be Wednesday June 16th on Showtime at 11pm eastern time and on tape delay at 11pm pacific. If you have the Showtime package through your TV content provider and are in the pacific time zone, you should have the east coast feed and will be able to watch the fights live at 8pm pacific time.
