Chael Sonnen on Agenda for Dec 2nd CSAC Meeting

Chael Sonnen finally gets his chance to clear his name.

The agenda is out for the December 2nd California State Athletic Commission meeting and yes, Chael Sonnen is on the agenda.

We will find out what happened and how Sonnen tested positive. At least his side of the story of why he tested positive.

There are really 3 possible outcomes from this meeting. Worst case, is that the positive test is upheld and Sonnen serves out his year suspension and loses some serious credibility in the sport and his political ambitions. Next is that, like Sean Sherk, the suspension is reduced to 6 months and we see Sonnen back in the cage by March. And what would be the best case for Sonnen, Sonnen and his lawyers produced a boat load of evidence that the test came back positive due the stomach illness he was suffering from and the medication he took to try and quickly recover from said illness. Side note…these scenarios are from my head and should not be viewed as to what will or will not decided at the California State Athletic Commission meeting on December 2nd.

Other items of note on the December 2nd California State Athletic Commission agenda, Josh Barnett is looking at a possible license reinstatement, a USA Boxing Northern California report and a Neurological/Boxer Pension Fund report to legislation.
